Questions

What is a 1:1 Meetup on EliteSingles?

Last checked October 7, 2026.

Elite Select members can create a 1:1 Meetup, while Standard members can browse and request to join, and the host decides who joins.

A 1:1 Meetup is a listing for meeting one person in real life. When we signed in on October 7, 2026, the tab invited members to create one and let people come to them, or to connect with local members before a trip.

How does a 1:1 Meetup work?

The host creates a listing with a plan, members request to join, and the host picks who to meet. Each card says, “Only the host can see requests on 1:1 Meetup,” so other members cannot see who asked. Support described the same split, with Elite Select members creating and Standard members requesting, on September 24, 2026.

What do the listings look like?

On October 7, 2026, most were coffee or dinner for about two hours, and some stayed open for up to 14 days. Check the time and place on the card before you request to join.

How many 1:1 Meetups are there?

On October 7, 2026, the tab listed 20 meetups: 7 open to join and 13 ended. They were in 10 countries, with the most in the USA and France. That is a snapshot of one day, so look at the open cards yourself before you plan around one.

Can I use 1:1 Meetups when I travel?

The tab suggests it: “Traveling soon? Connect with local members there.” If you want members in other countries to see you, turn on Global Visibility under Privacy & Visibility. When it is on, you and members in other countries who also have it on can see each other.

Are Group Meetups different?

Yes. Group Meetups have their own tab, which invites members to “Create a group meetup and bring people together.” A 1:1 Meetup is one host meeting one person they choose from the requests.

How do I stay safe at a Meetup?

The site’s footer says EliteSingles does not conduct background checks on members, so the checks are yours to make. Meet somewhere public with staff around, tell someone you trust where you will be, and arrange your own way there and home. Keep the conversation on the service until you have decided to meet. If anyone asks for money or account details, or pushes to move somewhere private, stop. Meeting someone new, safely goes further.

If you were a member before April 30, 2026, you start again. So does everyone else.
